Center management staff have been reminded that all staff shall be assigned to a classroom in which their skill set matches the age group of children in care.

5/28/15 After receiving a call from center management staff, the Inspector was on site today to discuss a report regarding an incident of alleged inappropriate staff:child interaction in the Infant classroom. Staff interviews were started today. 6/2/15 The investigation was continued today. Staff interviews were completed on this date; however, a determination of findings will be reached at a later date. 6/5/15 After careful review of all available information, no violation shall be cited regarding the report of alleged inappropriate staff:child interaction in the Infant classroom. However, one violation not associated with this report was cited after being observed during the course of this investigation. Thank you for meeting with me during this investigation. Description: Based on observations, it was determined that two infants were neither seated nor held as required when being fed their bottle. Evidence: Upon entering the Older Infant classroom, the Inspector observed two infants drinking from their bottles while on the floor. Child #1 was lying down on the inclined climbing mats. Child #2 was sitting on the carpeted area. These infants were neither held nor seated in a high chair seat while drinking from their bottle.

Plan of Correction: The children were held to finish their bottle. Staff were immediately reminded to either hold the children or put them in the high chair seats when they are having a bottle.
