Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today by the licensing inspector today. The center director/owner was present and participated during the inspection. All required information was posted in both buildings. A sample of staff and children's records were reviewed on site. The pool opens next week at the beginning of the summer program. At the onset of the inspection, the half day preschool children were playing outside on the playground. The preschool children in both buildings had eaten lunch and were transitioning to rest time. Children's art work was displayed in both buildings. There was a staff person supervising children in each classroom in the young preschool house (with 2/3 year olds). There were a total of 15 children with 5 staff in the young preschool house. In the main building there were a total of 15 children with 2 staff in each of the two classrooms. There was no medication on site for children in care in either building. Today's program including review of colors of the season through art, using swim noodles for making "roads" , reading time and a variety of other planned activities. Conferences have been offered to parents. The summer program begins next Monday. Program plans include summer reading, math activities, daily swimming, arts and crafts and numerous local field trips for the schoolagers. health inspection 2/6/15 fire inspection 1/13/15 shelter in place 3/17/15 evacuation drill 5/27/15 emergency preparedness plan reviewed 1/15/15 Some but not all standards were checked today. approximate time on site : 11:35 am - 1:45 pm
