- Technical Assistance:
1. Regulation 500.A.1 - Allows children to wash hands with disposable wipes before/after eating lunch/snack. Reviewed this option with Site Director.
Conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection. Observed 75 children + 8 direct-care staff. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were observed arriving to the program, reading, playing table games, doing homework, washing hands, and eating snack. Staff were actively engaged with the children and activities. The cafeteria was clean and sufficiently supplied with equipment for the children. Medication management was in compliance. Required documents were posted. Record keeping violations found. Inspection conducted 2:35-3:25pm.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-130-A Description: Based on one child's record reviewed, it was determined that the record did not have the needed documentation for immunizations. Evidence: Child #1 - The immunizations on-file were not dated by the physician or health professional. Plan of Correction: "See attached" was written on the page without the signature redirecting attention to the page with the signature.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observations made, it was determined that hazardous substances such as cleaning supplies were not kept in a locked place. Evidence: A spray bottle of bleach and water solution was found in an unlocked closet. Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
