Comments:
Unannounced inspection was conducted to investigate a complaint that was registered related to behavior management. The complaint was determined to be valid. The facility had taken action at the time of the incident.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-410-1
Complaint related: Yes
Description: Based on interview with staff and written documentation of the incident, it was determined that a staff person roughly handled a three year old child. Evidence: Staff A roughly handled a child who had been hurting another child and who kicked the teacher. The staff put her into another classroom roughly. The incident occurred on June 24, 2015.

Plan of Correction: The staff person was suspended for a week and has a written reprimand on file. Additional behavior management training will be be on going as will supervision.
