Technical Assistance:
Outside weeding was discussed and use of bottles.

Comments:
An unannounced inspection was conducted this afternoon. Ratios, supervision, physical environment, and program were observed. The Inspector also reviewed children's and staff files, emergency care provisions/supplies, and permits were reviewed. All staff files are current and complete and the maintenance of these files allowed readily available access. The Director was available and able to answer questions related to the program and the Director had questions for the Inspector. Please call if you have any questions. 703-479-4679

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-40-G
Description: Based on record review of new children enrolled, one file does not have documentation to verify child's proof of identity. Child #2 started on July 6, 2015 and the file does not have documentation verifying parent presented proof of identification.

Plan of Correction: We have asked the parents for the documentation and will request again.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-B
Description: Based on observation of outside play area, the center has not maintained under all equipment with moving parts or climbing apparatus resilient surfacing around these fall zones . The resilient surfacing is mulch and grass growing through the 4 inch layer of mulch by the slide and one climbing portion.

Plan of Correction: We will maintain the surfacing and redistribute the mulch to ensure surfacing meets requirements.
