An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today by the licensing inspector. Both the Director/owner and assistant director were present and assisted during the inspection. Some but not all standards were checked today. A sample of staff and children's records were reviewed and all required information was posted. The children were unable to go outside today due to rain. The summer program includes activities such as but not limited to swimming, line dancing, creative cooking, behind the scenes at a local restaurant, and a ventriliquist performing.

5-7 yr olds 2:18 The children were dancing to popular music while one staff was preparing for them to make fruit salad during Creative Cooks week.
8 -12 yr olds 1:12 The group was coloring chef's hats and in the process of making rice krispie treats that look like a watermelon.
3-5 yr olds 2:19 Children were in circle time on the carpet on the floor as they transitioned for lunch.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-F Description: Based on inspection, the facility did not ensure medication was in the original container with the direction label attached.
Evidence: Child #6 had an inhaler on site that was in a ziploc bag labeled with this name. The inhaler was not in original packaging and there was no pharmacy direction label attached.
Plan of Correction: We will call the parent regarding the label.
