An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 12:00 p.m. with the center director. There were sixty-three children in care with twelve staff providing direct supervision. Infants were observed in various play areas and resting. Older infants were observed preparing for outside time. Toddlers were observed having free play. Two year olds were observed playing at a sensory table, creating a craft and during transition. Three year olds were observed after creating mud pies, during transition and playing at various centers. Four year olds were observed during free play and at various centers that including counting and computer time. The school age children were observed leaving the center for school. Five children's records and four staff records were reviewed. Accident reports were reviewed. Please email the plan of correction to S.Reed@dss.virginia.gov by 10/12/2015 at noon.
