63.2 Facilities and Programs..
An unannounced inspection for license renewal was conducted today. Eighty two children were present with six staff. The children were eating snack, doing homework and outside practicing for their flag football game. Tomorrow, the children will be participating in their Jamaican Fall Festival. Medication procedures were reviewed and found in order. Staff with current MAT, first aid and CPR training were on site. Children's records were reviewed today. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review, staff did not obtain documentation of the annual parent confirmation that the required information in the child's record is up to date. Findings: At the time of the inspection, the inspector found that three out of seven children's records reviewed, did not have documentation of an annual parent review. Plan of Correction: All children's records will be updated.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-M Description: Based on record review, staff did not include staff and parent signatures or two staff signatures on the written record of children's injuries. Findings: At the time of the inspection, the inspector found that two written injury records included only one staff person's signature. Plan of Correction: Will review with staff the requirement for two staff signatures on each injury record.
