Discussed with site supervisor: Avi-Q recall ( already addressed issue with parent)
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 1:45 pm - 2:45 pm. There were 42 children directly supervised by 6 staff. The physical plant, staff records, children' records, children's medications records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Today the SACC program hosted the annual flag football game. The inspector arrived to find 6 children inside with the site supervisor. A child was being monitored after being injured outside. The inspector observed contact with the parent and the report of the accident/ incident. The remainder of the children were in transition from outside activities and multiple head counts and passport checks were done to account for all of the children. Many parents had picked up children while outside and the staff communicated counts to each other by walkie talkie. Children were observed washing hands and preparing to eat snack. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector.
