FCPS authorization forms can not be used by the program as it only authorizes County personnel and SACC personnel to administer medication. Kinhaven should use its medicatin form or the VA DSS model form. Please be sure that the dosage amount on the prescription label and authorization form are the same ensure consistency.
An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today. 62 children were present in 7 classrooms with direct care staff. All supervision ratios were maintained. The children were observed playing outside, circle time, center time, transition to lunch and the art swap classroom. Emergency preparation was current. Three staff records and seven children's records were reviewed as well as medication storage and authorizations. Rooms are well maintained and supplied with age appropriate materials. The children's artwork is displayed throughout the classrooms and halls. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report.
