Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection December 28, 2015 from approximately 1:30pm to 4:40pm. The following ratios were observed with a total of 85 children present during the inspection:
Young Infants - 8 children with 2 staff
Older Infants -2 children with 1 staff
Toddlers (Red Room) - 9 children with 2 staff
Twos (Orange Room) - 13 children with 3 staff
Twos (Yellow Room) - 10 children with 2 staff
Threes (Green Room) - 13 children with 2 staff
Threes (Blue Room) - 13 children with 2 staff
Fours & Fives (Purple & Gold Room combined) - 17 children with 2 staff
Get Well ? no children present / nurse was on site.

During the inspection, the Infants were observed having their diapers changed, playing on the floor with toys, eating, playing in the ball pit and sleeping in their cribs. The Toddlers were observed having their diapers changed, washing their hands and playing with toys. The Twos classrooms were observed coloring pictures of Christmas trees, menorahs and ornaments, playing with blocks, dancing to music, playing in the dramatic play area and eating snack. The Threes classrooms were observed playing outside under the covered awning, taking bathroom breaks and washing their hands, playing with toy doctor kits and eating snack. The Fours and Fives were observed having the book ?Penguins to the Rescue? read to them and then playing in centers including computers, legos, playing with Mr. Potato Heads, cars and dramatic play area. Staff was observed interacting with the children and providing assistance when needed. Afternoon snack consisted of cheese wraps and water. All areas of the center including classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and kitchen were inspected. The playground was not inspected due to weather conditions. The center was equipped with toys and supplies and items were available to the children.

The following information was reviewed: emergency supplies, liability insurance, injury reports, fire and shelter-in-place drills, daily attendance, daily sheets, menu, parent agreements, and staff training information. Medication is administered and medication and medication authorizations were inspected.
