Technical Assistance:
The standard 310.F was discussed concerning requirements for the playground area for infants and toddlers. When playground equipment is installed, the director will call the inspector so that the equipment may be inspected before any children are allowed on it.

Comments:
An initial licensing inspection was conducted by appointment on 1/28/2016 from 2:15 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The center has been licensed before as a child care center. The center has had renovations and will be serving infants and toddlers. The other side of the center is a licensed adult day care facility. Children are currently being enrolled but will not be in care until mid February. The facility was toured, inspected, and measured. The playground was covered in snow and not inspected. Playground equipment has been ordered. Required postings were reviewed and approved. Emergency supplies were examined for compliance. Staff have met initial training requirements (daily health, observation, first aid and cpr, MAT and child abuse and neglect reporting) to open. There were no violations from today's inspection. Thank you for your cooperation and if you have any questions, please call you inspector Katie Gifford at 276-698-9981.
