Comments:
Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced renewal inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on February 11, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. On this date, there were eighty-six (86) children in the care of fourteen (14) staff members in seven classrooms. There are a total of one-hundred eight (108) children enrolled in this program. Five (5) children's records and eighteen (18) staff records were reviewed and updated. The medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for four children. Areas observed were educational center activities, craft activities, story time, hand washing/bathroom procedures, transition, lunch and nap. Lunch was observed to meet USDA guidelines and consisted of noodles and meatballs, corn, pineapple, and milk. All interactions between staff and the children were appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with the daily routine. Children have been completing seasonal activities and artwork is displayed throughout the center. There are a wide variety of age/stage materials for the children in care. Please contact me if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 430-9256.
