Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was initiated today at 1:45pm. The physical plant, 4 staff files, 4 children's files, annual fire inspection, staff training, child nutrition, children's activities, medications, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected today. There were 71 children under the supervision of 11 staff. During the inspection, children were observed counting numbers, spelling words, coloring, participating in a music class and resting during naptime. For lunch, the children were served a hamburger on a roll, mashed sweet potatoes, mixed fruit and milk. The interactions between the children and staff were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. There are currently 3 staff certified in EMAT (emergency medication administration training) and 5 staff certified in MAT. The outside play area was not inspected today due to weather conditions. Description: Based on file review and interview, the center did not implement a practice evacuation drill every month. Evidence 1. There was no evacuation drill completed in January 2016.

Plan of Correction: The center completed 2 evacuation drills during February 2016.
