Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on February 23, 2016 at 10:30 a. m. and concluded at 12:30. The inspector met with the staff and Child Day Center standards were reviewed. The following staff-to-child ratios and activities were observed. Infants: There were three infants with two staff. The staff were observed sitting on the rug with the infants and the infants were having free play with toys. Older Infant/Toddlers: There were seven infant/toddlers with two staff. The infant/toddlers were observed having free play/and coloring on paper. Two Years: There were nine children with two staff. The children were observed coloring on paper. The staff are working on the "Farm" theme. Preschool (Three Years) There were six children with one staff. The children were engaged in circle time and they were talking about Dinosaurs which is their monthly theme. Preschool (Three Years) There were four children with one staff, and the children were going over phonics. Pre-K (Four-Five Years): There were ten children with two staff. The children were observed having circle time and the teacher was reading the children a story "When", they were engaged in discussing the story. Lunch for today was Cheese Pizza, Peas and Carrots, Pineapple and Milk. Three children's records were reviewed. Three staff records were reviewed. Two classroom observations were conducted. Conversations were held with several staff and children. There were no medications on site today.
