Comments:
Today(2/29/16) an unannounced renewal visit was conducted with Adminstrator. This visit took place in the morning between 11:15-1:30 there were 3 classrooms observed with a total of 65 students with 7 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed having morning circle time, snack, music, outdoor free play, lunch, nap and dismissal. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, medication and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-B
Description: Based on observation of the classrooms, portable heater was accessible to children without the appropriate barriers to prevent from touching. Evidence: In the blue classroom, a portable heater was found in use on a table accessible to children between the ages of 3-5 and hot to touch. Licensing Inspector touched the heater and it was observed to be extremely hot to touch.

Plan of Correction: Admin stated that the furnace went out in the building and the church has an outstanding service call in place to have it fixed. Admin placed the heater in a area inaccessible to children.

Description: Based on observation of the classrooms, cleaning materials were accessible to children and unlocked. Evidence: Hand sanitizer were found in two out of 3 of the classrooms accessible to children between the ages of 3-5.
