The children were observed having morning snacks, at circle time, in small group activities and playing in the centers. Two staff and three children's records were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. If you have any questions, please contact your licensing inspector at (276) 608-3758. Thank you for your cooperation.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, the center failed to have a hazardous substance stored in a locked place.
1. The inspector observed the bathrooms. There was a container of Lysol disinfectant spray on a wall shelf in the bathroom that is located next to the back door. The container was inaccessible to the children, but was not stored in a locked place.
Plan of Correction: The teacher placed the Lysol container in a locked place during the inspection and will monitor to ensure all hazardous substances are stored in a locked place.
