Comments:
Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced renewal inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on March 23, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. through 1:50 p.m. On this date, there were one-hundred thirty-seven (137) children in the care of twenty-two (22) staff members in nine classrooms. There are a total of one-hundred forty-four (144) children enrolled in this program. There were five (5) children's records and three (3) staff records reviewed and updated. The medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for four (4) children. Areas observed were educational center activities, story time, music/movement, hand washing/bathroom and diapering procedures, transition, fine motor activities, lunch, infant feeding, nap and departure. Lunch was observed to meet USDA guidelines and consisted of cheese pizza, corn, peaches and milk. All interactions between staff and the children were appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with the daily routine. Children have been completing seasonal activities and artwork is displayed throughout the center. There are a wide variety of age/stage materials for the children in care. Please contact me if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 430-9256.
