Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was given regarding the clear documentation of required phone numbers for children's records.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on March 28, 2016. At the time of entrance there were 13 children and 3 staff members present with children. A sample size consisted of 3 children's records and the emergency information and health related information related to the job position for 3 staff members. Children were observed playing cards a large group games and eating snack. Snack consisted of tatter tots, hotdogs, strawberries and milk. Three medications were reviewed during the inspection. The inspection began at approximately 3:30 p.m. and ended at 5:10 p.m.. Areas of non-compliance were noted on the violation notice. The results of the inspection were reviewed and verified with the center supervisor. Please complete the columns for ?description of action to be taken? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice, and then return it to the licensing office within 10 calendar days of receipt. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-G
Description: Based on observation and staff interviews, the licensee did not ensure that when food is brought from home the containers are sealed and clearly dated and labeled in a way that identifies the owner. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on March 28, 2016, three children were observed during snack time eating food brought from home, and their lunch boxes /containers were not labeled with the date.

Plan of Correction: The center supervisor will ensure all food brought for home is labeled
