Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was initiated today at 3:30pm. The physical plant, fire inspection, 4 children's files, children's activities, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected today. There were 11 children under the supervision of 2 staff. During the inspection, children were observed working on homework, cleaning up for and eating afternoon snack, and enjoying free play outside. The interactions between the children and staff were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. Today, the children were served pineapple and milk for snack. Both site staff are certified in MAT (medication administration training), CPR and First Aid. Staff files are not reviewed on site, but during an annual administrative file review. Should you have any questions, please contact me at mary.wizbicki@dss.virginia.gov or (703) 479-4707.
