Comments:
Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced renewal inspection conducted today, April 15, 2016. The on-site inspection was from 9:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. On this date, there were twenty-four (24) children in the care of two (2) staff members and two (2) co-op parents. There were a total of thirty-one (31) children enrolled in the program with a maximum of twenty-four (24) attending on any one day. The violation from the previous inspection was reviewed for compliance. There were no violations of the licensing standards observed on this date. Two (2) staff members' records, two (2) co-op parents' records and four (4) children's records were reviewed. Two (2) staff members, one (1) co-op parent, and three (3) children were interviewed. The medications and medication paperwork were reviewed for two (2) children. Snack was observed to meet the USDA guidelines and consisted of pumpkin chocolate chip bread, apples, and milk. All interactions between the staff, the co-op parents and the children were age-appropriate and positive. The themes for the month were Birds, Gardening, and Pets. Opening meeting time, choice time, dress-up, creating and acting out animal stories, flower arranging, snack, outside play, show and tell, story time, musical activities, and dismissal procedures were observed during the visit.
