A renewal inspection was conducted on April 19, 2016. The director was present for the inspection. There were 4 age groupings of children being supervised by 7 staff. In the two year old group there were 8 children with 2 staff who were playing outside on the playground. A three year old group included 7 children with 2 staff, and they were working on a bumble bee art project. Another three year old group included 9 children with 2 staff, and they were playing outside on the playground. The four year old group included 4 children with 1 staff, and they were working on an activity sheet. All staff had first aid and CPR certification. There were no medications on site. Evacuation and shelter drills were current. A recommendation will be made to renew the license. Inspection began: 10:00 Inspection ended: 11:15
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on a review of documentation, the center did not obtain a TB test/screening within two years from an initial screening. Evidence: The most recent TB test/screening for Staff # 2 was dated 4/10/2014. Plan of Correction: The TB test will be updated on 4/21/16.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-H Description: Based on observation and review of documentation, the center did not have a document containing local emergency information which included potential shelters, hospitals, evacuation routes, etc that pertain to each site frequently visited or of routes frequently driven on the vehicle used to transport children. Evidence: The emergency information on the van used to transport children included emergency contact information for children, but did not include the information of potential shelters, hospitals, and evacuation routes. Plan of Correction: All required information will be place in the van.
