- Technical Assistance:
Discussed the possibility of adding a 6 year old classroom next year and what is needed for the modification. The center is planning a renovation of the upstairs at the end of the summer, including the bathroom.
46 children present with 11 staff. The children were observed playing outdoors: children were jumping and splashing in mud, picking up and observing caterpillars, washing hands, preparing and eating lunch and playing with manipulatives. Young children ages 18 months to 2 year olds were observed serving themselves and and eating lunch. Staff and child interactions observed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: The center failed to get emergency contact addresses for one child out of 5 children's files reviewed. Evidence: Reviewed 5 children's files , child c is missing the emergency contact address information. Plan of Correction: We will ask the parent for the information.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: The center has peeling paint in the upstairs bathroom and on a baseboard in the space between the two rooms. Evidence: Observed during the physical plant inspection. Plan of Correction: We will schedule the repair.
