Comments:
This unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:45 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. At the time of the inspection 74 children were present with 15 staff. The sample size consisted of three children's records, five staff's records, and one board officer's record. No child was on medication at the time of the inspection. Children and staff were observed during free indoor and outdoor play, story time, during an art activity, lunch, bathroom break, and hand washing. The staff were observed during arrival, transitions, and behavioral guidance. The violations from the previous inspection were reviewed for current compliance. No repeat violations were found. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A
Description: Based on observation, the staff failed to ensure that equipment in the center were maintained in a safe and operable condition. Evidence: In Room 6 the wood doll house is splintering at the bottom and the paint is chipping.

Plan of Correction: The doll house was immediately removed from the classroom until it can be repaired.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B
Description: Based on observation, the center staff failed to keep cleaning supplies in a locked location. Evidence: In room 2 a container of disinfectant wipes was left on the counter in the classroom.

Plan of Correction: The disinfectant wipes were put in a locked location.
