22VAC40-191 Background Checks (22VAC40-191)
Conducted an unannounced monitoring study with the Director, Assistant Director, 11 staff, and 86 children. The children were eating snack, napping, and having free play during the inspection. The ages of the children range from four months-old through fourteen years-old. Three staff records and five children's records were reviewed. One child's medication and log were reviewed today. The fire and health inspections are current and up to date Start time: 1:40pm End time: 3:45pm
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-A Description: Based on a direct observation of the first aid kit supplies, there were two items missing. Evidence: The first aid kit was missing two triangular bandages. Plan of Correction: The Director stated that she will have them ordered today.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-C Description: Based on a review of three staff records, one repeat background check was incomplete. Evidence: Staff A's central registry check was dated 6/15/2012, and a repeat background check was due on or by 6/15/2015. Plan of Correction: The Director stated that she will submit the background check to be repeated.
