Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 82 campers in care, with a total of 13 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. The children were observed creating a large variety of art projects, playing board games, making masks and other props for their upcoming Star Wars play, and rehearsing for the play. This inspection was conducted between approximately 10:20 am and 11:40 am. Thank you for meeting with me today. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A
Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that one record was not complete. Evidence: Child record #4 does not include: each parent's employment contact information; the full information for two emergency contacts; "authorized pick ups."

Plan of Correction: The parent will be asked for the missing information.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B
Description: Based on observations, it was determined that one container of a potentially hazardous substance was not stored in a locked place. Evidence: In one of the performing arts classrooms, a container of sanitizing table wipes was left out on the counter next to the sink.

Plan of Correction: The wipes were moved immediately during the inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-H
Description: Based on observations, it was determined that one staff bag of personal belongings was not stored in a manner to keep the bag inaccessible to the children. Evidence: In the sports classroom, a teacher's bag of personal belongings was stored on a chair.

Plan of Correction: The bag was immediately moved during the inspection and the teacher was reminded to always put her bag away in the closet.
