An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 66 children in care on site, with a total of 12 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. There were an additional 38 children and 3 staff attending an off site "paint your own pottery" field trip. The children were observed practicing for their "Three Little Pigs" play and playing flag football. This SACC site was hosting 5 other SACC programs to play the flag football tournament. The children were to be served chicken caesar salad, soft pretzels, bananas, and milk for lunch later today. This inspection was completed between approximately 10:45 am and 12:00 pm. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that two records were not complete. Evidence: 1. Child record #2 does not include: each parent's work phone number; a physical exam report; a shot record. 2. Child record #6 does not include: a physical exam report; a shot record. Plan of Correction: The parents will be asked for the missing information.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-E Description: Based on a review of children's medications, it was determined that one child's non-prescription medication was not labeled as required. Evidence: One child's non-prescription medication was not labeled with the child's name. Plan of Correction: The medication is not needed. It will be sent home with the parent today.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-G Description: Based on a review of children's medications, it was determined that one child's prescription medication was not labeled as required. Evidence: One child's prescription medication was on site without a prescription label. Plan of Correction: The medication is not needed. It will be sent home with the parent today.
