Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on August 1st 2016 between 12:00pm and 2:30pm. There were 61 children in the direct care of 13 staff members. Children were observed napping, reading books, building with blocks, playing dress up, and being fed. Ratios were maintained in each classroom throughout the inspection. A sampling of staffing records, children's records, the health inspection, fire inspection, the emergency plan, the evacuation drills, and the first aid kit were observed and inspected. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B
Description: Based on observation, a hazardous substance was not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Evidence: In the School Age space, cleaning wipes were located on a bookshelf that was easily accessible to children.

Plan of Correction: Review standard 22VAC40-185-280 with teaching staff. Assign a designated locked location for cleaning supplies.
