An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with center director and staff. There were 36 school age children present with three staff. The children were playing group games in the gym and having afternoon snack. Snack served today: wheat crackers, cheese stick, and bottled water. After snack, children worked on homework, played with Legos, and did art work. One staff file and four children's files were reviewed and are in compliance. Five medications for four children were reviewed and are in compliance (reminder: one expires 11/2016). The staff are current in daily health observation, MAT training, and first aid and CPR certification. There was documentation of interesting trainings this past year. The last health inspection was conducted 4/20/2016. The last documented fire inspection was dated 1/29/2015. There was documentation of requesting the updated inspection from the fire marshal. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-A Description: Based on review of site records, the facility did not have documentation of a current fire inspection for the school. Evidence: the last documented fire inspection was conducted 1/29/2015. Plan of Correction: There was documentation in the file where the fire inspection was requested from the fire marshal and school system on 9/15/2016. Please submit to inspector once received.
