Technical Assistance:
Consultation was given on free training on the VA DSS web site that covers health and safety topics. It can be found through the Pre-Service training link with information on subsidy. The on-line class is 10 hours and can be used towards the annual 16 hours of training required per staff.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring study was conducted today. All classes were in ratio with direct care staff. Observed supervision and ratios, infant care, diapering and potty training, outside play time, circle time, reading and center activity choices. Emergency medication is on-site with authorizations completed by both the parent and physician. Rooms are well equipped with materials and equipment for each age group. Mulch is the required depth on the playground. Consultation was given on staff actively moving around the play ground space and having one staff on each end. Pre-K classes were having French and Spanish enrichment classes during the inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Please sign and date the report and return it to me within 10 calendar days from date of receipt. If you have any questions regarding the inspection, please feel free to contact me.
