Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-A
Description: Based on observations in two classrooms and verification from staff, the staff in both classrooms failed to have the children wash their hands with soap and water or use disposable wipes after eating a meal. Evidence: 1. The staff in Classroom #1 and in Classroom #2 did not have the children wash their hands after eating lunch. The children finished lunch, walked back to their classrooms and began their normal activities. 2. Staff Member A and Staff Member C both confirmed that the children did not wash their hands after lunch and that they were unaware that the children needed to wash hands after eating.

Plan of Correction: Staff will be reminded by the administration that the children will wash their hands both before and after eating meals and snacks.
