Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. Observed 56 children directly supervised by 4 staff members. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. A sample of 4 children's records and 4 staff records were reviewed. The physical plant, medications, emergencies supplies and procedures were also reviewed. The children were engaged in various activities, to include: eating snack consisting of orange juice and goldfish, cracking coconuts with homemade primitive tools to go along with the theme of "back in time" as well as painting with "clumps" and playing outside. Hand washing routines and parent pick up were also observed. Areas of non compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the Director. Inspection conducted 3:15pm- 4:15pm. If you have any questions regarding today's inspection, please call inspector Kelly Savittiere 703 479 4746 kelly.savittiere@dss.virginia.gov
