An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 42 children on site in care, with a total of 3 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. In addition, 13 children and one staff member were off site attending a flag football event. The children were observed eating lunch from home, playing group Grocery Store games, and playing outside. This inspection was completed between approximately 12:00 pm and 12:45 pm. Thank you for meeting with me today. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that two records were not complete. Evidence: 1. Child record #2 does not include information for "authorized pick ups." 2. Child record #5 does not include: the last name for one emergency contact person; information for "authorized pick ups." Plan of Correction: Each parent will be asked for the missing information.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observations, it was determined that various cleaning products were not locked. Evidence: Upon arrival, the cabinet containing various cleaning products was not locked. Plan of Correction: The cleaners had just been used on the tables. The cabinet was immediately locked during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-E Description: Based on a review of administrative documents, it was determined that one emergency evacuation drill was not documented. Evidence: The fire evacuation drill for the month of October, 2016 was not documented. Plan of Correction: The documentation was updated during the inspection.
