Technical Assistance:
The inspector discussed with the director other options that the center may utilize for gross motor play.

A complaint investigation was initiated on November 2, 2016 regarding supervision on the playground. Observations and interviews were conducted. There was not a preponderance of evidence to support the allegation regarding supervision. The complaint is deemed not valid. A non-complaint related violation is identified in the Violation Notice. Description: Based on observation, the center did not utilize equipment which is age and stage appropriate for the children. Evidence: On the day of inspection, children 18 months to 3 years old were utilizing a public playground located at Helen Miller/ Bernard Hunter Park. The playground structure clearly indicates the structure is for children between the ages of 5 to 12 years old.

Plan of Correction: Toddler, Preschool, and Jr. Kindergarten Prep groups will utilize basketball courts for gross motor activities with use of supplemental tools such as balls, hula hoops, parachute and cones.
