Description: The center failed to ensure the care of a child when they center went to the pool and failed to apply sunscreen on one child's face. Evidence : Based on the interviews with staff , the staff failed to add sunscreen to a child's face when at the pool in July. The supervising staff did not feel it was safe to apply spray sunscreen to a child's face and since the child did not have any other sunscreen, the face did not have any sunscreen applied, resulting in a burn on the child's face.

Plan of Correction: We have added a new requirement for a sunscreen stick and discussed with staff the importance of using sunscreen.
