An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on February 2, 2017. There were 15 children present with three staff members. The children were observed having family style breakfast in the cafeteria. In the classroom, the children were observed during music and movement, in their morning circle and playing in centers. The licensing inspector reviewed indoor and outdoor areas, administration, required postings and documentation, health and safety supplies and procedures, nutrition and supervision. Two staff records were reviewed. Three children's records were reviewed and one medication was reviewed. Exit interview was conducted with the Program director.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on record review and observation at the center, the licensee did not ensure that all required for staff shall be kept at the center. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on February 2, 2017, there was no documentation of the following information for Staff #3 at the center: name, address, verification of age requirement, job title, and date of employment or volunteering; and name, address and telephone number of a person to be notified in an emergency. Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-F Description: Based on observation and inspection of the facility, the licensee did not ensure that when centers choose to provide meals or snacks there shall be a dated menu of meals and snacks during the current one week period; be posted in a location conspicuous to parents or given to parents; list any substituted food; and be kept on file for one week at the center. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on February 2, 2017, there was not a menu posted or given to parents of meals for the current one week period. Plan of Correction: The cafeteria personnel will bring a copy of the menu and we will post it.
