1. Discussed recording of children's start dates, improving how attendance is taken, and documenting how and when staff change positions.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:15am-11:15am. There were 36 children directly supervised by 6staff and 4 parent volunteers. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 4 children?s records, 4 medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, circle time, and eating snack. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. An area of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on record review, 1 of 3 staff did not have documented follow-up tuberculosis (TB) screening completed every two years. Evidence: 1. Staff #1's TB documentation was date 8/28/14, expiring 8/28/16. Plan of Correction: I will get the updated information in the file.
