Interaction between the children and staff were observed. The center has lots of supplies for the children to explore. This visit was started at 4:45 and ended at 5:00. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-J
Description: The center failed to have the medication in a locked location. Evidence: Based on the review of the physical plant, the medication box are not locked. The box does have a lock but the staff does not know the code for the lock so it is not in the locked position.

Plan of Correction: I will get a new lock for the medication box. One with a key since the turning lock is not opening each time.
