The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced renewal inspection Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from approximately 10:10am to 12:30pm. The following ratios were observed with a total of 32 children present during the inspection: Toddlers - 4 children with 1 staff Twos - 9 children with 2 staff Threes & Fours - 10 children with 1 staff Fours & Fives - 9 children with 1 staff During the inspection children and staff were observed participating in a variety of activities. The Toddlers were observed playing with puzzles, playing with toys and musical instruments. The Twos were observed singing songs, reciting nursery rhymes, looking at Mother Goose books and playing with a puppet and having music and movement. The Threes were observed playing with Barbies and trains and train tracks and dancing to music. The Fours & Fives were observed coloring Humpty Dumpty pages while reciting the nursery rhyme and working puzzles. Children ate lunch during the inspection. Children bring their lunches from home. Lunches were labeled with child?s name and date. Later children transitioned into nap time. The following information was reviewed: injury reports, injury prevention plan, daily attendance, emergency preparedness plan, practiced emergency drill logs, snack menu, staff training information and parent agreements. Required postings were on display in the center. Medication is not administered at this time. Transportation is not provided at this time. Last documented health inspection: 02/22/17 Last documented fire inspection: 10/13/16 During the inspection, three children's records and three staff records were reviewed. The risk profile tool will be used for the licensing recommendation. The renewal application was received prior to the expiration of the current license.
