Licensing Inspector arrived at 8:55am and departed at 11:45am to conduct a Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection. At the time of the tour, there were 30 children, ages three months through four years old. Children were observed during rest, eating lunch and participating in various classroom activities. The sample size was four children and four staff.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-B-1 Description: Based on a review of facility's emergency preparedness plan and interviews, it was determined that the vendor failed to ensure that the evacuation procedures included procedures to address reuniting children with parents or authorized person designated by the parent to pick up the child. Evidence: 1. The emergency preparedness plan for the facility did not include procedures for reuniting children with their parents or guardians. 2. Staff #1 (Program Director) confirmed that the procedure for how they would reunite children and parents/guardians was not in the emergency preparedness plan. Plan of Correction: The vendor responded: We will add the reunification procedures to our emergency preparedness plan on how we would reunite children with their parents/guardians..
