An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:20am-11:30am. There were 157 children (2yrs. - 5yrs.) directly supervised by 26 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 4 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, building with manipulatives, playing outside, planting flowers, creative play with props, learning about plants and nature, hatching insects, and preparing for snack. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. All classrooms were studying flowers and plants through science, art, and hands-on activities. Child and staff interactions were positive. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Megan Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org.
