Comments:
Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection that was conducted today, April 27, 2017. The on-site inspection was conducted from 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. At the time of arrival there were 86 children in nine classrooms and in the care of 17 staff members with three staff members available to assist if needed. The total enrollment for the program was 171 children. The records for six new staff members and one longtime staff member were reviewed, and seven children's records were reviewed. There were nine staff members and four children interviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for four children. There were no violations of the licensing standards observed on this date. Lunch was observed to meet the USDA guidelines and consisted of beef meatballs, pasta with tomato sauce, peas, pineapple, and milk. The theme for the week was April Showers Bring May Flowers. Some items observed and reviewed were: required posted information, emergency and shelter-in-place drills, injury reports, diaper ointments, water temperature, art projects, painting activities, circle time, infant care, infant feeding, diapering procedures, choice time, hand washing and bathroom procedures, outdoor play, lunch, and nap time.
