- Technical Assistance:
Consulted with staff and administrators on the use of "Wubbanub" pacifiers with infants in cribs.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. Ratios for all seven groups were found in compliance. The children were engaged in free play, music activities, listening to stories, making Easter pictures and playing outside. The infants were playing, being fed and sleeping. Medication procedures were reviewed, and staff with current MAT, first aid and CPR training were on site. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 703-479-4709.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, a rope that is tied from a pole of the canopy frame to an anchor in the ground presents a tripping hazard on the playground. Plan of Correction: We rerouted the cords to remove the tripping hazard.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-N Description: Based on document review, it was found that the written physician's authorization to administer medication on an "as needed basis" for two children, had expired. Plan of Correction: The written authorization to administer the medication will be renewed, or the parent will be notified to pick up the medication within 14 days.
