Discussion was held on the topics of current enrollment and current staffing.
The following inspection took place between the hours of 10 am through 1 pm. Today, I met with the Staff of the Ida-Lee Recreation Center preschool program located in the Town of Leesburg, Virginia. At the start of this unannounced monitoring inspection there were a total of 16 children with 2 classroom staff; good ratios in this one room. A total of 4 children?s files and 3 staff files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: large motor skills outside on the playground, bathroom break, hand washing, snack, centers within their classroom, art, and other organized activities. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C Description: Based on review, 1 of 2 written medication authorizations reviewed was expired. Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (05/02/2017), a written medication authorization had expired for medication prescribed and to be administered to Child #1. 2. The written authorization's duration section listed - 02/20/2017 as its end date. Plan of Correction: The written medication authorization shall be returned, along with the medication, to the Parent of Child #1.
