Technical Assistance:
An exit interview was conducted with the director to discuss the results of today's inspection. Consultation was given regarding the subsidy program.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, April 28, 2017 to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The inspection was initiated at 2:30pm and concluded at 4:30pm. Upon arrival, the following ratios were observed: Toddler suite 200: 3 children/2 staff Toddler suite 250: 5 children/ 2 staff Two year old suite 300: 6 children/ 2 staff Preschool suite 450: 4 children/ 2 staff Pre-kindergarten suite 500: 5 children/ 2 staff School age suite 550: 3 children/ 1 staff Children were observed washing their hands in preparation for snack (assorted fruit, graham crackers, and milk), eating snack, listening to a short story read by staff, playing with toys/games, and interacting with staff members. Children's books, toys, and equipment were inspected and found to be age appropriate and in operable condition. All classrooms were inspected to include main hallways and children's restrooms. The outdoor playground was inspected with no hazards found; due to previous rain an accurate measurement of the resilient surfacing could not be obtained. The center had the required postings displayed upon entering the building and in children's classrooms. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected with additional supplies found. Annual health and fire inspections were reviewed and found to be updated. Six children's records and two staff records were inspected with the required information found. The following was also inspected: medication authorizations/ log, MAT certifications, parent agreements, injury prevention plan, playground safety procedures, and other pertinent information.
