Today's visit was a renewal inspection. The inspection began at 10:00am and concluded 2:10pm. There were thirty-four children present with eight staff members. During the inspection all four classrooms were observed, the out door playground was viewed, outdoor play time was observed, emergency supplies were viewed, three out of fifty-five children's records were reviewed, two out of thirteen staff records were reviewed, lunch time was observed, nap time was observed, all four medications with authorization were reviewed, and some policies and procedures were reviewed. Your renewal application has been received in the Licensing office and a recommendation can be made upon the completion of today's inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on the inspector's review of two out of thirteen staff records, the center failed to ensure a staff member had documentation of orientation training. Evidence: The record for staff member #2 does not have documentation of orientation training and the staff member was observed on duty during the day of the inspection. Plan of Correction: The PD will provide orientation training and place the documentation in the staff ember's record.
