Licensing inspector arrived at 9:45 am and departed at 1:15pm to conduct a licensing inspection and a Subsidy Health and Safety inspection. At the time of the tour there was 74 children in care with 14 staff . Additional staff were present to assist in the classrooms. Children were observed learning activity on tablets , making mother's day activity, station activities and story time. he sample size consisted of 4 children records, 20 staff records, 3 injury reports were reviewed and 2 medication.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E Description: Based on interview and 1 of 20 records reviewed, the vendor did not ensure staff providing care to children shall have CPR and First Aid within 30 days of the date of employment. Evidence: During the subsidy inspection conducted on May 11, 2017, staff #1 ( Date of hire 04/03/2017) did not have have CPR and First aid training with in 30 days of the date employment. Plan of Correction: Employee will have completed CPR/FA training on or before 5/31/17. Management team will ensure that all new employees attend this training within their first 30 days of employment. DM will verify secured training date at time of hire.
