Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 12:00pm to 3:40pm. The children were observed resting on cots for rest time. Snack to is to consist of cookies and fruit. The menu was posted. All classrooms and playgrounds were inspected today as well as the facility?s mini buses. Three children?s records and three employee record were reviewed during this inspection. Medication is being administered and was reviewed. Four injury reports were reviewed at this time. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 04/10/2017 Shelter-in-place drills: 12/15/2016 Last fire inspection: 01/20/2017 Last health inspection: 05/02/2017 Total enrollment today: 48 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Infants-4:1 Toddlers ?5:1 Preschool (two -five years old, rest time ratio) ?39:3 School Age ? not present If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector, Roshon Casey, at (804) 662-9760.

Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B
Description: Based on a review of children's records, the center did not ensure that each child with a diagnosed food allergy had a written allergy care plan that included instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic to and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. EVIDENCE: Child #1 has a food allergy, but there is no allergy care plan documented in the record.

Plan of Correction: The child recently started back at the center and parent did not bring allergy plan. At pick up will give to parent and have her return by next Friday.
