Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on May 30th 2017 between 11:30am and 12:30pm. There were 22 children in the direct care of 2 staff members. Children were observed participating in a community program in which they had a birthday celebration. The program included a story about the child and her experiences growing up. The staff were observed engaging with the children through questions during the program. Staff demonstrated positive redirection techniques. A sampling of children's records, evacuation documentation, the physical space, supervision, and first aid and CPR training were observed and inspected. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-E
Description: Based on observation and interview, monthly evacuation drills were not all documented. Evidence: The documentation shows that an evacuation was not documented in April. The most recent documented drill was dated 3/21/2017. The director stated that, in April, a drill was conducted, but was not documented.

Plan of Correction: We will have it documented today.
