Standard #: 22VAC40-185-50-A Description: Based upon observation, children's records were not treated in a confidential manor. Evidence: Authorization forms for sunscreen usage for individual students were observed hanging on classroom walls out in the open so that anyone entering the room could view. Plan of Correction: Administrator responsible for medication and classroom checks had been out on leave. Already has a planned walk thru to check classrooms for posted documents .
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-J Description: Based upon observation, medication was not kept in a locked place as required. Evidence: In the brown bears classroom emergency medications were found in a backpack used to carry medications to remote locations around campus ( playground) should an emergency event occur. Medications are placed in self locking bags, however, 2 of 4 medication bags were found to have broken locking mechanisms at the time of the inspection. Plan of Correction: Administration was in the process of conducting a center wide check of emergency medications at the time of the inspection.
A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.
